A basic description This is an amidated peptide derived from residues 361-393 of human p53 tumor suppressor protein with acetylation at Lys382. This peptide is biotin-labeled at its N-terminus with a 6-carbon LC linker. Activated p53 functions to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in response to signals such as DNA damage. Acetylation of p53 reduces ubiquitination by MDM2 and increases p53 half-life in vivo
