Sequence (single letter abbreviation) Biotin-KGGHLKSK-K(Ac)-GQSTSRHKKLMFKTEGPDSD-NH2
Sequence (three-letter abbreviation) Biotin-Lys-Gly-Gly-His-Leu-Lys-Ser-Lys-Lys(Ac)-Gly-Gln-Ser-Thr-Ser-Arg-His-Lys-Lys-Leu-Met-Phe-Lys-Thr-Glu-Gly-Pro-Asp-Ser-Asp-NH2(trifluoroacetate salt)
A basic description This is a biotin-labeled and amidated peptide derived from residues 368-393 of human p53 tumor suppressor protein with acetylation at Lys373 and additional KGW residues on its N-terminus. Activated p53 functions to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in response to signals such as DNA damage. Acetylation of p53 reduces ubiquitination by MDM2 and increases p53 half-life in vivo.
