A basic description
|
This peptide is tumor suppressor protein, p53 (368-393). There is a biotinylated lyine followed by a GG linker at the N-terminal and an acetylated lysine at lysine 373. Activation of the p53 protein results in the transcription of antiproliferative proteins and induction of apoptosis. The p53 tumor suppressor is a principal mediator of growth arrest, senescence, and apoptosis in response to a broad array of cellular damage.
