Basic description
|
β-Casomorphin is an opioid peptide. It was first isolated from an enzymatic digestion of casein that is an agonist at μ opioid receptors. Casomorphin 1-7 stimulates fat intake in rats. β-Casomorphin is a β-casein related peptide that plays an important role in determination of surface properties of the casein micelles.
